A bunch of Holiday secret projects!

I could not post anything for a while because I was working on top secret commissions for Christmas presents!
Here are a few of the pieces. I am still waiting to get some pictures of others. I just put a bunch of new pictures on my flickr page.

This was for a wonderful woman Ali who wanted a veggie theme for her close friends
she by the way happens to be the mastermind behind Pistol Stitched an amazing line of handbags

Some of the wonderful people at Woodberry Kitchen asked me to make a cut for Amy and Spike the owners of Woodberry Kitchen. I was really thrilled as Woodberry is an amazing restaurant that serves amazing food- locally and sustainably sourced from the chesapeake region

This was for an amazing photographer right here in Baltimore Daniel Bedell. He wanted a papercut for his lovely girlfriend. Her heritage is Indian and Swedish. I drew my inspiration from the textiles of both countries.
Check out Daniel's website!

Here is a papercut for a wonderful woman for her fiance.
She wanted to feature their adorable dog Gracie. The muffins hanging on the line are from the time Gracie ate nine freshly baked muffins off of the counter!

Paper Cuts turned into other things!

This week a bunch of my papercutshave been turned into other things!

The Hamilton Crop Circle reached their fundraising goal on Kickstarter!
As part of the backer rewards we are creating posters and t shirts from my paper cuts.
The compost cut needs to be trimmed still..
We did Grow A Healthy City too
Thanks to Mikey from Common Seed Press right here in Hamilton for printing all the posters and T shirts. He literally lives right behind our house!
Tees are all organic and sweat shop free.

This is a sticker for an awesome group called The Western Queens Compost Initiative.
They had me make a paper cut and then another artist reworked it into a bumper sticker.
The original paper cut is posted in an earlier post. They also are using it in t shirt form and you can order one here
A very cool group and they also raised money on Kickstarter.

Anniversary Papercut for two awesome people!

My first commission!
Emily wanted all three of the pets in the cut for Peep and her anniversary.
It was fun to work from pictures. Emily gave me free range to design it which was fun but, also a little nerve racking- Peep loved it and they say the animals turned out just right. I have to say Finch the adorable dog did turn out looking quite perfect!
